 |  |  | | From our initial redevelopment efforts renovating various historic buildings in Boston and Cambridge in the late 1970's and 1980's, the Company was one of the first firms in New England to begin purchasing commercial office properties after the severe market reversal in the early 1990's. An aggressive acquisition program started in 1993 has been complemented with numerous renovation and new development projects which in aggregate have totaled over 4.5 million sf with a gross dollar volume in excess of $500 million. Currently, we have 450,000 sf of office development underway with an additional 650,000 sf in the planning stages.
